What is the Wildflowers project?

The Wildflowers of Northern Evia is a project comprising a multitude of low-budget projects and actions of great symbolic value. These embellish and complement the large-scale Reconstruction Programme (ITI of Northern Evia) underway for the fire-stricken municipalities of Northern Evia (Municipalities of Mantoudi - Limni - Agia Anna and Istiaia - Aidipsos).

What is its purpose?

The Wildflowers project has a twofold purpose. On the one hand, it will help raise money for projects and actions serving and promoting the Reconstruction of Northern Evia Programme. On the other hand, it will raise awareness in Greece and abroad about an issue that concerns us all: the Regeneration of Northern Evia after the catastrophic fires of August 2021.

How is it connected to the DIAZOMA Association?

The crowdfunding campaign is an initiative of the DIAZOMA Association to support the Programme for the Reconstruction of Northern Evia, headed by its president, Stavros Benos. The entire DIAZOMA family & friends have been participating in this patriotic effort from the outset!

What will it cover?

Crowdfunding will cover the cost of projects and actions relating to culture (commissioning studies), tourism (cultural excursions, Forest Festivals), agri-food (local producer expos), education (student visits), communication (production of printed and audio-visual material), green energy (energy community). The New Forest of Northern Evia lies at the heart of all these actions.

Why Crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding allows every active citizen to participate in the national effort for the Regeneration of Northern Evia! Through a multitude of projects and actions, the Wildflowers that will be funded thanks to the participation and love of the many will stimulate the local economy, improve the everyday life of residents and create beautiful travel experiences for the visitors of Northern Evia!
